1. Work on your confidence. Take the initiative to speak up during discussions and meetings.
2. Practice reading aloud. Learn to pace yourself, breathe, and feel comfortable.
3. Ask a friend to critique your speaking skills, and work on the pointers for improvements.
4. Lose the fillers ( “ah” ,”er”, “um” , “actually”,” basically,” “ you know” , I mean,” “like”
5. Learn to tell your story. Integrate emotionally charged events to make it engaging.
6. Use the power of 3 (i.e., 3 descriptives, 3 examples, 3 lessons, etc.).
